**About you**

As our co-packing and warehouse operations continue to grow, we are looking for a person who has demonstrated skills in this area and are looking for the next challenge in their career.
- Demonstrated leadership experience of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working within a manufacturing or warehousing area supervising teams.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience of the disability or other community service areas.
- Ability to provide assistance to Supported Employees, and commitment to the rights of people with a disability
- Experience with working in an environment that requires a focus on consumer needs and expectations.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal Clearance Check, NDIS Clearance Check and Working with Children Check.
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations*

**Desirable Criteria**
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written and the capacity to work with others
- Ability to motivate and engage the team
- Must be computer literate with a good knowledge of Excel and NAV / Microsoft Dynamics experience advantageous.

**What you’ll be doing**

Support employees with a range of abilities to meet business objectives and ensure we are maintaining our workplace policies and processes.

Some of the responsibilities include;
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for our teams and looking at innovative ways to grow the skills of our employees
- Build relationships with other roles in operations, to ensure we are working in partnership to deliver the vision of Afford
- Drive continuance improvement within your area and find better ways of doing what we do.
- Support new training programs in conjunction with Learning and Development as well as the Client Services Manager and Area Manager
- Participate in consumer experience initiatives for relevant customers and locations as led and developed by the Consumer and Experience and Safeguarding team, that enables client and family engagement initiatives.
- Responsible for proactive and positive communication and relationships with customers, their families and other stakeholders (e.g. other service providers).
- Provide direction, support and mentoring to your team to enable them to succeed in their roles
- Ensure all recruitment and onboarding activities are within Afford expectations and provide a positive and successful “setting up for success” for the new employee.
- Participate in community partnerships, community initiatives and external engagements representing Afford.
- Operate within agreed budget objectives and identify any opportunities for improvement as they arise
- Participate appropriately in internal audit, investigations and any other quality or safeguarding initiatives.
- Work with the area manager to develop a performance plan that reflects organisational and team priorities, and professional development.
