About The Role
We are seeking a Team Leader who combines strong leadership with deep empathy - someone who can inspire and guide a dedicated, multidisciplinary team while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery across in-person and virtual settings.
As Team Leader, you will oversee a place-based team of Therapeutic Practitioners, Financial Wellbeing Coaches, and Counsellors delivering trauma-informed services to people recovering from financial abuse. You'll lead service delivery across high-need locations and virtual platforms, ensuring a cohesive, holistic response that improves the financial and emotional wellbeing of every client. As the team leader, you will have a counselling, financial wellbeing or therapeutic background with experience providing supervision to these areas.
In 9 months, you will have the opportunity to shape a growing service and directly influence systemic change in the family violence recovery landscape. Skills in therapeutic coaching will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based services aligned with client goals and funding expectations
 - Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture rooted in wellbeing, learning, and reflective practice
 - Provide supervision to a team of Therapeutic Practitioners, Financial Wellbeing Coaches, and Counsellors
 - Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and reporting requirements
 - Drive continuous improvement using client data, service outcomes, and sector trends
 - Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, referral networks, and aligned organisations
 - Manage team recruitment, supervision, performance development, and professional growth
 - Support integrated client pathways by coordinating wraparound services that are culturally safe and trauma-informed
 - Where needed, carry a small case load and model best-practice service delivery
 
About You
You are a strategic and compassionate leader with experience managing community services teams, particularly in family violence, financial counselling, or trauma recovery contexts. You're passionate about achieving quality outcomes and bringing your team along on the journey.
You Will Have
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, Financial Counselling/Capability or related fields
 - Experience in therapeutic coaching will be highly regarded
 - Demonstrated experience in a leadership role providing supervision within community or social services
 - In-depth understanding of the impact of family violence and financial abuse
 - Skills in managing people, performance, recruitment, and reflective supervision
 - Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
 - Experience using client management systems and producing quality reports
 - Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
 - A valid Driver's Licence
