What we’re doing

Where the Enterprise Tech fits in as part of the Tech and Data team, which is headed up by our CTO, Chris Venter. The team is responsible for providing the technology and data platforms underpinning REA's products, services, and operations. The team consists of around 160 people, which are distributed across the Enterprise Technology, SPACE, Tech Community and Data Services teams.

Enterprise Tech (ETech) is responsible for making all REA employees happy and productive by empowering them with technology. As part of ETech the Finance Squad plays an integral role providing strategic, commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the ‘behind the scenes’ of REA to support our people, as well as providing support to all other functional areas of the business around the globe.

As a NetSuite Functional consultant, you will be responsible for functional expertise in supporting, extending, and optimising our Enterprise finance systems. You’ll become an integral part of an agile team, providing your expertise across a variety of integrations and different finance systems and processes.

The NetSuite functional consultant supports our products and services in the following ways:
- Provide expertise into the team to deliver our strategic goals and execute the delivery of our roadmap initiatives.- Work with the ETech Leadership team to continuously improve ways of working and contribute to team and tribe culture whilst living the REA values.- Manage stakeholder relationships, keep them informed on the progress of requests and prioritise business value.- Able to support complex workflows and scripting on the NetSuite platform.- Configure and support forms, fields, bundles, and integrations on the NetSuite platform.- Own the BAU aspect of this role. Support and train our stakeholders in our ERP system.- Be multi-lingual - speaking the language of accounting of our stakeholders and translate into requirements and speak to our team to translate those requirements.

To be successful you’ll have- A love for sharing knowledge and helping others.- Curiosity - a desire to understand the why and how of our system landscape- Challenge why things are done a certain way and implement solutions across a wide range of finance processes.- Detailed understanding of accounting principles and processes. Ideally CPA or CA accredited.- Ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)

It’s great if you know some of these things too, but otherwise you’ll be able to learn them with us:
- Enterprise FP&A apps (ie Adaptive, Oracle, TM2)- NetSuite system administrator profile- SOX / controls mindset- Experience working under agile development principles.
