As an integral member of the Energy Markets team, you will work with organisations across the energy sector—utilities, developers, investors, tech companies, government bodies, and regulators—as they shape strategy, improve operations, and capture value.

**Responsibilities**
- Working with the energy markets teams to establish the relevant models, assumptions and information required to enable effective and optimal forecasting and planning for the immediate and long-term strategy
- Analyse data and visualise energy flows and consumption to assist in the implementation of efficiency measures, and compare energy efficiency in a scalable, transparent, and future-proof way
- Identifying opportunities for further improvements in planning and forecasting processes; scope, recommend and deliver to clients as appropriate
- Capturing financial, resource, process, and capability requirements needed to successfully implement models and initiatives for clients
- Ensure the appropriate review of information variance is undertaken including root cause analysis and development of mitigation plans covering people, processes, systems and metrics
- Leverage the availability of new technology to enhance the forecasting accuracy and quality of the insight offered
- Supporting the investigation of new technologies and service through research and analysis on market trends and new and emerging storage technologies
- Providing techno-economic, revenue, and energy assessment modeling capability to support the development of strategy
- Supporting the development of business cases for new initiatives, programs, or capability investments through preparing reports on business process, capability requirements and business case development

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge and expertise of energy management practices, current and future energy markets including hydrogen, bioenergy, storage and electric vehicles (including charging infrastructure)
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, computer science or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Expertise in market modelling platforms
- Excellent communication skills and numeracy skills
- Attention to detail to ensure delivery of reliable and timely outputs
- Ability to be flexible to clients' changing business needs and processes
