Company Description
**Sea the Future** is an industry initiative that aims to end plastic leakage to nature and accelerate the transition towards a circular plastics economy - which would turn the current ‘take-make-waste’ approach into one where plastic is reused and recycled.

We work with, through and for industry to unblock, accelerate and scale market solutions for a circular economy for plastic. We invest in and incubate value chains including through infrastructure, technologies and innovations to drive down the cost of plastic recycling.

We are building a consortium of leading global brands to unlock the supply and demand for recycled plastics.We are developing a global network of sorting and recycling plants, starting in the Netherlands, Indonesia and Brazil. After the first three projects we will soon expand to other countries and cities.

**Job Description**:
The Strategy & Operations Manager / COO will take full responsibility for the development and execution of Sea the Future’s strategy.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Manage strategy development.
- Manage diagnostics to support strategy, ambition setting.
- Manage development of detailed implementation plans for strategy.
- Oversee strategy execution through best practice operations including overseeing detailed bottom up planning, putting in place execution performance infrastructure, managing operations ‘drumbeat”, unblocking and supporting teams so that execution achieves agreed impact on time and within budget.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong engineering, business or similar degrees.
- 10+ years overall experience in large scale industry operations and/or capex management.
- 5+ years experience in strategy and operations consulting at a top tier consulting firm.
- Experience in start-up / scale-up business environment.
- Experience engaging with global industry enterprises.
