**Actuarial Graduate** **About the role** We're seeking a highly motivated, curious Actuarial Graduate to join our Motor Pricing and Underwriting team. Collaborating closely with your team, you'll drive insights, shape recommendations, and implement strategies within the Motor Insurance portfolio, aligning with our financial objectives. Your focus will centre on employing a broad range of actuarial techniques, dissecting data related to risk factors and broader business elements. Success in this role hinges on your mastery of essential data sources and adept analysis skills. Expect interactions across national and international levels within the organisation. Furthermore, we highly value individuals with the right attitude, a thirst for learning, and a proactive growth mindset. Key priorities: - Prepare and use statistical models to analyse and provide insights which solve core business problems. - Effectively prepare data for modelling purposes and build models in Emblem, Python, R and SAS. - Build accurate and timely reports available to relevant users using different data sources and visualisation tools. - Respond to pricing and underwriting related queries from advisors within the agreed time frame. - Determine claim frequency and claim size models as a basis for pricing recommendations. - Monitor and identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance. - Assist with statistical modelling including data preparation, modelling, price recommendation, system implementation and documentation of the modelling process, insights, and actions. **About you** You will have: - A recent Actuarial Science or similar degree (Mathematics, Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or Computer Science) with an outstanding academic record. - A desire to begin/continue study for your actuarial qualification. - A hunger for uncovering profit and growth potentials, offering insights and suggestions to sway management towards altering pricing, underwriting, and product strategies. - A consistent drive for self-improvement, continuous learning, and personal growth. - A dedicated team player with great communication skills and an unwavering "can-do" attitude. - Exceptional time management abilities and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure. - A keen eye for detail. - Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, & SAS is desirable, but not a prerequisite. **How to apply** No agencies currently, thanks; we have this one covered.
