**About the team**
**This role reports to Manager Works Depot and lead a team of Building Maintenance Officers, Building Assets Officer, Building Asset Officer and CONFIRM Administration Officer.**

**About the role**
Our Building Operations Coordinator will be at the center of maintaining and optimising the performance of Glen Eira’s buildings and facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all inspections, operations, maintenance and repairs meet regulatory standards and legislative requirements. You will lead a dynamic team, manage critical contracts, and drive excellence in building maintenance and operations.
- Other responsibilities include:_
- Overseeing the performance of building operations officers and managing various building-related contracts, including Facilities Maintenance, cleaning, and HVAC.
- Developing, implementing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Analysing inspection data, identifying issues, and addressing them promptly to maintain high standards.
- Management of Council Buildings security and Emergency Management programs

**What you need to thrive**
We are looking for someone with proven experience in leadership and a history of contract management within the building maintenance sector.

The following is also required:

- Extensive knowledge of building construction, maintenance practices, safety regulations, emergency management, building compliance standards and current legislation
- Experience in budget control and financial management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and team members.
- Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to lead, develop and motivate employees to achieve required objectives.
