**About the role**

As part of the Ampol Group Strategy and Corporate Development team, you will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives across the business. You will support the development, design, alignment and execution of the Group’s strategy and planning across divisions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Strategic and analytical problem solving and analysis to inform and guide the development, monitoring, refresh and execution of overall group strategy.
- M&A support for inorganic growth opportunities, including creating and owning valuation models, financial analysis and insight and advice on material transactions.
- Provide timely and high-quality evaluations of strategic opportunities, including ad hoc commercial and strategic analysis.
- Develop and maintain a network of relevant relationships outside of Ampol to keep ahead of the curve on market trends.

**About you**

You will be an effective problem solver, overseeing the progress of multiple projects to build and deliver results. You will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and analysis methods, with the ability to work with financial statements and analysis to combine both strategic and financial insight into recommendations.

**Key skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or engineering
- Extensive experience in a top tier strategy consultancy, professional services, investment bank or corporate strategy team within an ASX environment
- Proven track record of playing a key role in strategy, M&A execution and / or complex commercial partnerships / investment
- Superior skills in strategic and financial analysis (advanced-level Excel & PowerPoint), and able to translate analysis into informed decision making
- Advanced project management, time management and prioritisation skills to drive significant workstreams / projects
