**Position Information**:
Mulwaree High School is a large comprehensive rural high school of approximately 900 students in Goulburn. The student population comprises 9% Aboriginal students and 5% EAL/D. The school has a staff with a diverse range of experience and offers a wide academic curriculum as well as catering extensively to the interests of all students including athletics, visual arts, music performance, sport, STEM, Robotics and public speaking/debating. A strong emphasis is placed on Literacy and Numeracy across the whole school and the school has shown positive levels of growth in NAPLAN over the past few years.
Mulwaree High School has strong community links and promotes strong leadership opportunities for students and staff. The student body is capably represented by student leaders within its Student Leadership team, Student Representative Council, Sports Council, Arts Council and Social Justice Council.
The school has a strong focus on building student pride in learning, engendering high expectations and creating a culture of continual improvement. Through its very strong PBL program, Mulwaree High School is committed to the values of respect, responsibility and opportunity and aims to develop young people to make a positive difference as good citizens.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Approval to teach English 7-12 with proven capacity to review current teaching practice and embed innovative curriculum design in line with curriculum reforms.
Demonstrated capacity to lead a diverse faculty in the delivery of quality, engaging and inclusive learning experiences, including a focus on maintaining high expectations of all students and staff.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in developing and implementing data informed practices and programs to improve student success and school excellence.
Outstanding interpersonal and proactive leadership skills with a strong focus on effective communication to build teacher capacity in delivering innovative curriculum experiences.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
