**The Role - Delivering the Vision**
Reporting to the Procurement Services Manager, this role as Team Manager sits within the Shared Services Function which serves as the 'business connect hub'. As Team Manager, you will take responsibility for the provision of quality products and efficient purchasing services by leading a multi-skilled, engaged and collaborative centralised Purchasing Team. You will partner with the Strategic Procurement Team to support the broader business with their business needs, whilst managing 7 Purchasing Specialists who are responsible for delivering efficient, timely and effective sourcing of low risk, low value goods and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leads a multi-skilled, engaged and collaborative team to fulfil purchasing requests and effectively delivers a positive client experience and business outcome.
- Proactively leads, collaborates and provides insight to increase self-service capabilities through stakeholder engagement and analysis.
- Ensures effective end-to-end management of purchase orders, as well as the resolution of invoice discrepancies relating to price / quantity.
- Oversees the management of relationships with suppliers of low risk, low value goods and services, ensuring compliance in the Requisition-to-Pay process.
The organisation has invested extensively in its procurement and purchasing capability with significant and complex projects underway and this role will be important in achieving success.
**Is this You?**
You will have a proven track-record of success delivering wins as a Purchasing Manager whilst leading a sizeable team.
- Degree in Procurement, Accounting, or relevant business experience.
- Highly experienced in Direct / indirect category experience with detailed understanding of the source to pay process
- Experience as a team leader/ manager role leading a team in the delivery of purchasing services in a large organisation
- Demonstrated ability managing a team to deliver high quality purchasing services, providing excellent customer service.
- Highly effective people management, stakeholder and influencing skills.
- High level of proficiency in SAP ARIBA and SAP S4HANA would be ideal.
- Demonstrated track record driving process improvements with measurable results.
- Demonstrated technical capability in all aspects of purchasing operations, including knowledge of managing purchasing risks, fraud controls and detection mechanisms.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of business and seniority.
