**About the role**:
The Project Officer provides project support to the Financial Improvement and Capability team through strong organisational and workload management skills and an ability to confidently triage work as required. The Project Officer needs to be familiar with departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial and human resource requirements.

The Project Officer quality assures correspondence and responds to enquiries from a range of internal stakeholders. The Project Officer will demonstrate discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters and also works to build a positive culture while demonstrating behaviours in line with the organisation's values. The position will provide project management support to priority projects across the Division as required.

**Key Role Accountabilities**
- Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in providing advice to stakeholders and assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.

**Qualifications / Specialist Expertise**

**Qualifications**:

- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health and a sound understanding of the Victorian health system would be desirable.
