**The role**:

As a Technical Analyst within our CTRM (Commodities Trading Risk Management) team, you’ll support systems analysis, definition, scoping and implementation of a new global platform to support Ampol’s trading & shipping business lines.

**You’ll take us further by**:

- Collaborating with Business Analysts to understand business requirements, and identifying key technical touchpoints/technical support considerations throughout sprint ceremonies.
- Alert and articulate critical issues in system architecture that require Delivery teams to action or consider as part of the Program roadmap
- Drive discussions with IT domain SMEs and PO/BAs, in articulating end to end solution proposed by architecture delivery workstream
- Conduct root cause analysis for system integration issues across internal/external IT downstream systems
- Support architecture delivery workstream in documenting findings and/or technical functions/configuration for downstream systems
- Maintain System Stories through the program lifecycle, and assist with supplementary design documentation until handover to BAU support

This is an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract position based in our Alexandria, Sydney HQ, with flexible, hybrid work options available.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in IT, business, or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT System Analysis or Business Analysis
- Proven experience in working with software development and/or system integration
- Experience contributing to multi-system data attribute analysis
- Experience contributing to software development, including administrative configuration and UX design
- Knowledge of CTRM industry, including CTRM core functionality and CTRM business operations is highly desirable
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities to identify, analyse and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements
- Delivery of documentation in industry standard notations such as UML structural/behavioural notations, BPMN
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, and to abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.
