**The role**:

Our Energy Solutions team’s objective is to evolve our energy offerings, in alignment with one of Ampol’s four strategic pillars - Energy Transition and Decarbonisation.

The** Technology Analyst** will research, synthesise and define processes and functions of Energy Solutions technologies, articulate interaction points between people, process and technology, and champion innovation.

Bringing consulting & business analysis capabilities into our cross functional teams, you will be customer-centric, maintaining a focus on clarity of functional and business requirements into customer, and ultimately technology requirements.

This is a permanent position based in either Alexandria, Sydney (HQ) or Melbourne, with flexible, hybrid work options available.

**Key duties**:

- Work closely with Technology and Energy Solutions leaders, to analyse market trends, technology best practices, and innovations that’ll bring Ampol’s energy transition strategy to life
- Outlining and mapping Energy Solutions Technology requirements and collating those requirements into presentable and actionable insights
- Breaking analyses down by MVP, mid-term and long-term solution designs
- Collaborating across product owners and SMEs (eg Metering) to achieve business unit success
- Maintaining Energy Solutions Technology process and roadmap as they are iterated by cross-functional teams
- Facilitating, leading and actively contributing to showcases, product demos, stand ups, retros and product workshops
- Participating in, and where required, leading co-creation activities with key business partners outside Ampol

**About you**:

- 3-5 years experience working as a Business Analyst, and/or Management Consulting
- Technical project experience (Digital or engineering), having collaborated cross-functionally with Product Owners, SMEs, marketers etc
- Commercial experience or education within the Energy and/or Engineering sectors
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and has the proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced growth environment
- Demonstrated experience with process design, technology road-mapping, customer-centric product development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to construct arguments, to challenge positively and constructively, and to distinguish requests from underlying needs
