Job Description

About the role:

Unifying our customer experience across physical and digital channels, our Digital team build and deliver products where technology meets our customers – web, app, and retail.

The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the retail and merchandising domain. This role is responsible for analysing, diagnosing, and resolving complex applications and data issues. Leveraging deep expertise in retail and merchandising systems, the Analyst collaborates with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to deliver actionable insights, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic initiatives.

You'll take us further by:

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business decision-making and troubleshoot application or data anomalies.
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues, coordinating with vendors and internal technology teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
  • Engage with business users to understand and analyse requirements, translating them into technical specifications or improvement opportunities.
  • Assess incoming requests with a critical mindset, constructively challenging assumptions to uncover underlying business needs and deliver value-driven outcomes.
  • Propose application and reporting improvements to enhance service levels and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide SME input and support to project teams impacting Application or across areas of Process/Domain leadership.

Qualifications

We'd love it if you have:

  • Advanced knowledge of Retail/Merchandising/Inventory application functionality (With Blue Yonder or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities to identify, analyse and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data, and present in accessible form.
  • Ability to express concepts, terminologies, and highly technical content in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to weigh different solutions or approaches, provide guidance around tradeoffs and risks, and identify underlying needs and future enhancements
