We are seeking a **PMO Finance Officer** for an ongoing or fixed term contract**. **The PMO Finance Officer will be responsible for budget monitoring, by working closely with managers each month to update forecasts, and actively identify opportunities and issues which impact on program performance.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this engagement are primarily:

- Under limited supervision, build detailed bottom-up budgets in consultation with managers, Group Finance and Reporting colleagues, and Corporate Finance.
- Contribute to budget monitoring, by working closely with managers each month to update forecasts, and actively identify opportunities and issues which impact on program performance; identify options to implement or address these and discuss.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of business drivers and priorities and use these to develop insights, provide targeted advice to Planning Reform Program leads and senior management.
- Provide assistance and support to the PMO Manager, program/project personnel and the leadership team on business operations, events, projects and initiatives.
- Follow month end processes to prepare accrual journals, reacrruals, cost centre transfers, and resolution of incorrect charges. Follow year end processes to manage invoices and complete accruals and payments. Allocate CAPEX and OPEX in consultation with Corporate Finance.
- Contribute to performance monitoring, benchmarking and evaluation frameworks, provide budget, financial and performance related analysis and advice to senior management including the preparation of reports with a detailed breakdown for each budget area, analysis of results and issues and anomalies.
- Track alignment of contracts, purchase orders and budget forecasts, working closely with the Procurement Manager. Regularly review and maintain purchase orders.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively across the business to deliver business unit, group and DELWP priorities and initiatives as required.

- **Project delivery**: Executes work tasks against plan; where plans are not defined, prioritises tasks in line with the urgency and impact of tasks; Utilises approved task management tools; Maintains accurate project records.

Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience as a Finance Officer is essential.
- A working understanding of program / project finance and reporting practices.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Excel.
