We are seeking a **Project Officer, PMO **for 4 months - full time contract with one of our government clients. The Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator supports the PMO by maintaining the Department's ICT Project Delivery Framework, coordinates the collation and reporting of various ICT project reporting requirements and assists with the ICT project quality assurance activities.
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO), the PMO Coordinator works collaboratively with the PMO team has strong customer service skills and understands and advocates the value of project standards and best practice methods.
Key to the success of this role is having a keen eye for detail to produce quality work, being able to proactively communicate with team members to complete tasks quickly, and having strong self management and organisational skills and ability to be flexible to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This role is a real team player that may need to help out other PMO team members with tasks, on a surge basis, if prioritisation of work calls for it.
The incumbent is going on maternity leave and this role is to backfill for a fixed term period.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Assist with development and maintenance of the ICT Project Delivery Framework as the standard for ICT-enabled projects, supporting a move towards Agile project delivery, within the Department ensuring it aligns to the Project Management Framework.
- Assist with the development and documentation of the ICT Portfolio Reporting and Quality Assurance processes
- Coordinate the collation and reporting of ICT programs and projects for the various ICT reporting requirements including ICT Committee, WoVG ICT Reporting and ISD portfolio reporting. Provide a coordination point for project status reporting; advocate for industry best practice standards amongst project delivery staff.
- Support the Manager, PMO to undertake quality assurance assessments of programs and projects measuring compliance to relevant frameworks and standards, project reporting and audit requirements.
- Proactively maintains a centralised ICT projects lessons learned register to enable the sharing of learnings and supporting continuous improvement of the project delivery capability across the department
- Understand customer needs and proactively meet customer requests in a timely manner; assist stakeholder understanding of the value of project delivery standards; respond to customers in a professional manner that promotes service excellence whilst managing customers expectations.
- Provide coordination and administration support for the PMO team including but not limited to analysis, reporting, contract management and recruitment activities.
