Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) helps drive CBA’s brand, reputation, and customer strategy, working closely with the business to deliver insight and creativity to engage our customers, communities, and broader stakeholders.

This role is part of the MCA operations and performance team, which falls under MCA’s Group Research and Insights function (GRI). The GRI team is instrumental in creating strategies and executing projects aimed at systematically improving customer experience. Alongside the MCA data steward, the MCA operations and performance team is pivotal in implementing data management within MCA.

You will collaborate closely with MCA process owners to deliver the strategic data management and data governance roadmap for all critical data elements and processes, in alignment with the group’s framework for MCA.

**Do work that matters**

Your role is to execute implementation of Data Management, ensuring quality data is delivered and reduction in data quality issues for MCA. You are pivotal in the coordination of data requirements to processes under data governance. You will work closely with the Data Steward, Process/Data Owners, Consumer Data Office (CDO), other key stakeholders and executives within the department to ensure successful delivery of the project within the MCA.

You will:

- **Support the design and development of the Data management initiatives, workshops facilitation and project management activities.**This will involve contributing to the improvement of data literacy, data risk management, data quality, and providing advice on the identification of detailed data flow/lineage and data quality requirements.
- **Drive progress to bring MCA processes under governance (DMI).**This will include identifying the critical processes/Data elements.
- **Undertake assessment of data risks and controls that are in place and their effectiveness.**
- **Review Data Quality Issues associated with CDEs.**Work with stakeholders to understand the root cause of the issues and define a remediation plan.

- Pride themselves in Data Management including Data Analysis, Business Process and Data Lineage, Data Quality management and monitoring
- Are comfortable in facilitating and conducting workshops with various stakeholders
- Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Have solid Business Analysis and technical data skills and strong familiarity of data management principles
- Experience in Data Risk and Control Assessment is highly desirable
- Experience with Alation or other data governance and data quality tools is highly desirable

- Are comfortable in Agile/Scrum ways of working using tools such as: JIRA, Confluence
