I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS5 Co-Design Project Officer for a 6-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend. **Your new role**

The APS5 Co-Design and Engagement Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position. The role is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation. The APS5 Co-Design and Engagement Officer will be required to undertake specialist activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks.The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Ability to influence effective community engagement program design and delivery by researching and identifying the specific issues, needs and interests of target audiences through timely and relevant consultation mechanisms.
- Monitor and evaluate stakeholder engagement and communications projects providing ideas for continuous improvement.
- Assist with the implementation and delivery of stakeholder engagement, including meeting programmes, responding to relevant stakeholder enquiries, and stakeholder mapping.
- Understanding the IAP2 engagement spectrum in the human services context
- Presentation to a small group of stakeholders on a regular basis is a skill we should also look for.
- Project Management skills/experience and understanding of accessibility.
