As an independent entity, the Office of the Governor provides best practice, quality advice and support to the role of the Governor and provides efficient and effective stewardship of the Government House Estate.

Your opportunity
The Aide collaborates closely with communities and organisations to plan events that align with the Governor's constitutional, ceremonial, and community responsibilities and provides on-the-ground administrative and personal support to the Vice-Regal couple at official engagements.

As a key member of a dynamic team, the Aide will play a central role in planning and delivering the Vice-Regal Program, ensuring all elements of events are meticulously coordinated and communicated across the organisation and with key stakeholders.

What we're looking for
We are looking for an exceptional individual with an aptitude for supporting a high - profile, public-facing role and Office.

This role requires someone who can:

- Work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
- Thrive under pressure, managing tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Build strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Adapt quickly and respond flexibly to changing situations
- Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication skills, including confident public speaking abilities
- Use initiative and sound judgment when making decisions and communicate clearly with relevant stakeholders
- Research, analyse, and produce accurate, high-quality event briefs within set timeframes
- Rapidly acquire knowledge of protocol procedures relevant to the role and official functions of the Office of the Governor
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and presentation at all times.
