Whilst directly reporting to the CEO, day-to-day communication and collaboration will come from the department managers (i.e. eCommerce, Digital, Sales, Social Media, Online Training and Brand Management). You are self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively as the lead of the creative team.
You will have a solid understanding of graphic design and all technical requirements (e.g. Adobe Suite). You are constantly learning and keeping up to date with the newest trends, you are able to implement these learnings both in your own work and to upskill and teach the members of your team. You are able to act as a mentor to the Creative team and are able to provide honest feedback to encourage and help them grow as individuals and as a team.
You understand the creative process and are always looking for ways to simplify the process. You are organised and are able to ensure all creative assets are kept accessible and filed correctly through delegation and coordination of the team.
An attentive listener and strong communicator, you are both positive and personal and you thrive on collaboration. You possess strong time-management skills and are able to drive the design team to stick to tight deadlines and deliverables.
You are able to collaborate cross-functionally with different departments in regards to brand campaigns, product launches and various other creative initiatives.
You are a passionate storyteller who has a great eye for detail and a love of content creation.
You challenge yourself, and your teammates to bring freshness and innovation to all we do. This is a hands-on role that does require execution and creation of graphics assets. This includes but is not limited to labels and product packaging, EDMs, web, print, social assets, 3D renders etc.
The key duties of the role include:
- Oversee and manage the activity and output of all graphic + digital + Video designers to ensure consistency in brand messaging and campaign deliverables
- Sign off of all creating content including web, print and digital marketing materials
- Provide brand expertise and leadership in guiding the creative team and wider business in conceptualising and developing strategic creative solutions for each of our brands and campaigns
- Promote and support appropriate creative solutions and execution with respect to other department ideas and implementation
- Consistency in demonstrating a high level of ability to sell an idea, respond to briefs and communicate each brands point of view.
- Originate new ways to incorporate technologies and innovative concepts into brand experiences and promotions.
- Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery
