
Principal Finance Officer, Operating

The role Reporting to the Manager, Budget External the Principal Finace officer, Operating will assist with the management of Queensland Health's external budget, including State and Commonwealth funding sources and co-ordinate and assist with the reporting of the financial component of the State budget, particularly in relation to the Department of Health's budget.
**The successful personYou will have demonstrated**:
- knowledge of accounting standards, legislation, contemporary financial management practices and policies, with experience in providing advice to management and other stakeholders and in the development of policies, procedures, and reports.
- experience with continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the areas of financial management and demonstrated ability to work within and contribute significantly towards successful teams.
- experience in the use and development of contemporary financial management information technology, together with experience in the research, review, interpretation, and analysis of information.
- knowledge in the operation of the Whole-of-Government reporting system TRIDATA or the ability to acquire it in a timely manner.
Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
