**About Outloud**: Outloud is a social impact youth arts organisation based on Darug land in Bankstown. We create artworks with young people that spark conversations, inspire creativity, and foster social change.
**About the project**:The Multicultural Peers Project (MPP) supports young LGBTQA people from Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian and Muslim communities. Through leadership, mentoring, creative workshops, and culturally focused arts and celebration events, the MPP provides safe spaces for participants to connect, create, and thrive.
**About the role**:The **MPP Coordinator** will play a central role in facilitating the project’s success, coordinating activities, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth delivery of programs.
**Part time**:15 hours / 2 days per week / 0.4 FTE
**Contract**:Fixed-term (till end of 2025) with the possibility for renewal. _The successful applicant will be required to get a Working With Children Check and Police Check before commencing employment._
**Remuneration**:$40/hr + 11.5% superannuation | (actual: $31,200 per year)
**Position Description**:The MPP Coordinator works closely with the Multicultural Peers Program Lead and Engagement Officer to coordinate the Multicultural Peers Project’s in-person and online activities. This includes project administration and coordination, program facilitation and evaluation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Coordination and Administration**:
- Oversee MPP program operations and administrative tasks.
- Track project progress, milestones, and budgets to ensure timelines and goals are met.
- Manage stakeholder communication, including with participants, community leaders, and partner organisations.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and sessions, including arranging transport, catering, and materials.
- Organise culturally safe and inclusive events and leadership mentoring sessions.
**Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Collaborate with the MPP Peer Managers, Engagement Officer, and Project Lead to deliver project activities.
- Welcome new participants and promote the program to ensure continued community engagement.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including:
- LGBTIQA2+ organisations (e.g., Wear It Purple, Twenty10)
- Health and mental health services (e.g., NSW Health, ACON, Community Mental Health)
- Local community leaders and participants.
**Evaluation and Reporting**:
- Track program outcomes and participant feedback.
- Collaborate with the MPP Manager to produce evaluation reports suitable for funding acquittals.
**General Support**:
- Assist staff with program-related tasks as required.
**Essential Skills and Attributes**:
- Lived experience as a member of the LGBTIQA2+ community and Middle Eastern-North African, South Asian or Muslim communities, or having a deep and knowledgeable connection as an ally
- Experience in community engagement, program coordination, or group facilitation.
- Degree (or working towards completion) in social work, human services, psychology, or counselling.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with attention to detail.
- Warm, friendly and patient.
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with diverse individuals and organisations.
- Proficiency with:
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)
- Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
- Zoom and other online platforms
- Canva or similar design tools
- Microsoft Office Suite.
