This position is accountable for identifying appropriate business opportunities across local, state, and national markets aligned to Chisholm’s 2021-24 Strategic Plan to drive commercial growth across all sectors of the Institute’s domestic B2B business development function.

This role will focus on managing and developing Chisholm’s commercial activities to grow revenue and further develop the institute’s sustainability, reputation, and revenue sources across industries to increase and diversify market share.

The incumbent works closely with the Head of Chisholm Solutions and provides, expertise and influence across all sales priorities of the Chisholm Solutions team.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in business development and leadership.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience required for the role**:

- Tertiary qualification in business development, marketing, sales, or commercial disciplines or extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in business development, networking and sales
- Substantial experience in professional sales and business development experience within the Government and/or large enterprise market sectors.
- Demonstrated capacity to negotiate successful and profitable projects with industry and in the international market in the context of vocational education and training/TAFE.
- Demonstrated leadership in building an effective team that models organisational values.
- The ability to leverage organisational strengths in creating strong and compelling value propositions for target market segments.
- Proven financial acumen in managing budgets and delivering successful outcomes within agreed budgets and financial targets.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including capacity to obtain support at senior industry, government, and community levels.
- Strong stakeholder and networking capability and experience.
- In-depth working knowledge of sales and business development processes and management.
- Experience in proposal development.
- Highly skilled with standard technology platforms including Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
- Experience of implementing/using CRM systems.
