QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing strategic support, developing efficient processes, and ensuring accurate and streamlined information and reporting across all QBuild programs and projects.

**Duties and skills involved**:

- Be accountable for the rigor and governance applied to business intelligence and reporting on programs and projects across all QBuild services.
- Support the performance and monitoring of QBuild business areas (strategic, operational, and financial data) against key measures and milestones, providing consistent and timely intelligence and reporting for both internal governance and leadership requirements.
- Standardise and streamline reporting, dashboards, and datasets to enable informed and quality decision-making by QBuild, its customers, and stakeholders.
- Identify data requirements for each product and service offering to enable planning, analysis, strategic sourcing, and other key functions aligned with the QBuild Planning and Delivery Framework.
- Develop and lead structured governance to manage the lifecycle of reporting from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and generation to obsolescence and decommissioning.
- Gather reporting requirements from internal and external stakeholders, align them with relevant processes, and seek efficiencies by assessing current reports, dashboards, and datasets to avoid duplication, and align reporting outcomes to process and procedural standards.

**Additional requirements (desirable)**:

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of a business enterprise system (knowledge of Azure data warehousing will be highly regarded).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand complex data sets from a business enterprise system.
