Compliance Business Partner - Contract Role

Compliance Business Partner - Contract

The Compliance Business Partner will work closely with the Risk and Compliance Team to assist in the implementation of the compliance framework, improving compliance practices, and enhancing the overall risk profile of SS&C. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure business-wide compliance and operational efficiency. The key focus for the role is to review SS&C's compliance framework, align where applicable to industry standards and better practice and identified areas for improvement and uplift.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Support Compliance Framework:

- Assist in reviewing and maintaining the existing compliance framework.
- Identify potential areas for improvement and work with senior team members to implement changes.
- Review APRA Prudential Standards and other industry better practices and align SS&C's compliance framework to these standards.
- Provide updates on compliance activities for governance reporting.

Technology Utilisation:

- Help integrate technology into compliance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the implementation and usage of compliance-related technology tools.

Monitoring & Supervision:

- Assist in monitoring compliance activities as new compliance tools and components of the compliance framework are rolled out to the business.

Business Support:

- Work with Management to provide basic coaching and support in improving their compliance practices.
- Assist in reviewing compliance training for employees.
- Provide support to Line 1 Risk and Compliance Champions to ensure understanding of the compliance framework.
- Review any compliance change management activities to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with Management to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Attend internal compliance forums with SME's across the business to advise on compliance and regulatory updates and changes.
- Attend client meetings, as required, to advise on compliance and regulatory updates and changes.
- Work on key projects to ensure compliance coverage and support provided to the business.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Understanding of Superannuation & APRA Prudential Requirements is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of AFSL regulatory requirements and obligations.
- Willingness to learn and develop in the compliance field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
