The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Project Assistant to assist in providing administrative and project support across the NGV’s range of exhibitions, publications and related programs and resources for children and families.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Under the direction of the Curator of Children’s Programs, you will support staff as required, to develop, deliver, maintain and evaluate exhibitions and programs for children, teenagers and families. You will provide support to cross-disciplinary project teams as required. Other key responsibilities include:
- Utilising professional written and verbal communication skills to assist the Curator of Children’s Programs across a range of tasks including preparing presentations, proposals, reports and other documents; drafting and updating texts and written communications; proofing communications; sourcing and booking photography and other media; and communicating with NGV and external stakeholders
- Providing high-level day-to-day administrative support to the Curator of Children’s Programs including coordinating meetings, agendas and notes; tracking and updating timelines, checklists and project schedules; seeking information as directed; updating budgets and statistics; administering invoices; and creating, maintaining and updating files, databases, records and documents according to the Information Management policy and procedures.
- Utilising administrative software including Microsoft Excel, Planner, PowerPoint and Word; financial administration systems such as Microsoft D365, and digital communications software such as Wordfly and WordPress.
