As an Exhibitions Officer at the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, you'll play a vital role in delivering vibrant exhibitions and events. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with diverse stakeholders, from academic staff to external clients, ensuring high-quality, compliant activities. Your creative thinking and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency while bringing originality to our exhibitions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Exhibition Management: Plan and support effective exhibitions, coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Faculty stakeholders, University services teams, and external clients to deliver high-quality events.
Operational Support: Provide administrative and operational support for the Design Gallery and public spaces in the Melbourne School of Design.
Sustainable Practices: Contribute to best practices in waste reduction and recycling for all events, promoting sustainable event management.

You are an energetic, committed professional with excellent communication skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced academic environment.
You may also:
Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in exhibition management.
Possess strong planning and coordination skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Have a self-starting, 'can do' approach with a strong sense of initiative.
Be well-versed in OH&S policies and procedures in an events and exhibition context.
Have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.

Your new team - Melbourne School of Design
The Faculty's graduate school, the Melbourne School of Design (MSD), teaches accredited masters courses across the professional disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Property, Urban Design and Urban Planning.
The MSD is distinctive from its competitors in its aim to inspire learning through interdisciplinary reflection, and its integration of research, teaching, and practice around the environmental implications of all forms of urbanisation. With opportunities to engage in advanced studio and seminar-based learning and research, MSD students develop new perspectives, critical reflection, and modes of action to address the environmental, social, and aesthetic challenges in producing sustainable centres of habitation, locally and internationally.
