**Work Health & Safety (WHS) Manager**

**Location**: Stirling, Western Australia
**Type**: Permanent Full-Time
**Salary**: Up to 195K base salary + super (based on experience)

The role is an important one for the City. It is responsible for providing and managing the corporate WHS governance framework to ensure reportability of legislative, safety and process compliance, delivery of strategic objectives and overseeing safety training and the wellbeing of all workers to name a few things.

**Why You’ll Love This Role**

You’ll be the City’s go-to WHS expert, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and working closely with the CEO and Executive Team.

This is your chance to drive and implement a critical framework for safety—embedding WHS into our culture, systems and everyday practice. You’ll lead a small, passionate team of WHS corporate officers who operate within a WHS Business Partner model, working across all directorates to make safety real, visible and valued.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Lead and manage WHS strategy and governance
- Advise on compliance, risk and due diligence
- Influence & develop leadership capability and commitment
- Oversee incident reporting and investigations
- Develop health and wellness initiatives
- Deliver WHS training and education
- Lead WHS projects end to end
- Build strong relationships across the City at all levels and externally
- Provide advice in procurement processes such as tenders and contractor management

**What You’ll Bring**

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced WHS professional who’s passionate about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces. You’ll ideally bring:

- Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent
- Senior WHS leadership experience in similar, diverse environments
- Deep knowledge of WHS legislation
- Strong investigation and reporting skills
- Proven success in cultural change and safety systems
- Collaborative stakeholder engagement to drive advocacy and adoption
- Strong people leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent communication and time management
