Position Title: Bookkeeper | Location: Norwood, SA | Position Type: Permanent, Full-time | Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (with lunch break) | Probation: 6 months | Start Date: Immediate

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s growing team based in Norwood. This role will suit someone who is confident managing end-to-end bookkeeping, has solid payroll experience, and can effectively oversee and delegate work to a small offshore team. You’ll work closely with both local and overseas staff to ensure all financial and reporting deadlines are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage bookkeeping for 20–25 clients per month, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Oversee payroll processing for 15–20 clients monthly, using Bassworx.

- Handle BAS preparation and lodgment, managing approximately 150 BAS per quarter, in collaboration with the accounting team.

- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, data entry, and maintenance of accurate financial records.

- Liaise with clients to obtain required financial data and documentation.

- Supervise and delegate weekly tasks to a team of two offshore staff based in Vietnam, ensuring accountability and productivity.

- Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all bookkeeping tasks.

- Monitor and manage workflow volume to meet reporting and compliance deadlines.

- Present regularly at the Norwood office to support team operations and communication.

Requirements

- 4–5 years’ experience in end-to-end bookkeeping, including BAS and payroll.

- Strong competence in payroll systems (preferably Bassworx) and general bookkeeping software.

- Proven ability to manage and support offshore or remote team members.

- Excellent communication, delegation, and time management skills.

- High attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach to workload management.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

- Availability for an immediate start.
