We are looking for an experienced Service Designer to join our team. Based in Sydney, you would join a passionate team working from across the country, with occasional travel requirements. The Service Designer’s primary objective is to understand our client’s service or product offering and their user’s needs to drive the co-design of better services.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Plan and drive HCD research and design processes for the development of products and services that delight users and support digital transformation
- Lead the co-design of products and services, from discovery and ideation through to high quality delivery
- Lead synthesis, analysis, prioritisation and alignment activities with clients to make decision based on focused user research and data insights
- Create products and services that are contemporary, sustainable and meet accessibility standards to help our clients succeed
- Understand and cater for the user base to ensure accessibility and inclusion for optimal experiences for clients and their users
- Develop and maintain documentation to articulate the service environment and proposed designs, including service blueprints, user journeys and hybrid maps
- Be a communication bridge between our clients and other design team members, and internal development teams
- Provide guidance to assist other design team members to contribute to the service design and delivery process where necessary
- Directly report to Experience Design Practice Partner or directly to client

**Key Competencies and Skills**:

- 5-8 years’ experience in a Service Design role (in a client-facing environment)
- Good knowledge of service design delivery processes and Human Centred Design principles
- Must have the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple workloads (potentially across different clients)
- Ability to compose and manage service design artifacts for each phase of the service design delivery process
- Understanding and appreciation of different skillsets within multidisciplinary design teams (including user research, interaction design and user experience specialists)
- Well-versed in working in agile design and delivery teams
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users.
- Good at presentation, time management and client relationship building.
- Good command of English communication (both oral and written)
- Good interpersonal, facilitation and collaboration skills
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and help them to influence decisions
- A desire to contribute to the broader success of the Experience Design team by playing a mentoring and coaching role to other team members
- Working knowledge with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe CS/CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.), Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, Mural or other design tools is a bonus
- Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager or Workfront get a tick too
- Knowledge of the Australian Government Digital Service Standard, Inclusive Design practices and WCAG 2.0 is an advantage
- Experience working with or in public sector is not essential but useful.
