**About the Team**
Alfred Health Allied Health comprises a number of Allied Health disciplines who provide patient centred care across all clinical programs that operate at Alfred Health. Allied Health disciplines provide care that optimises physical, psychosocial, communication and cognitive functioning. To ensure that the Allied Health workforce is fit for purpose, there is a robust governance structure that provides oversight of staff and student education, research, workforce innovation and quality and safety. The Allied Health Professional Practice Framework underpins the work of Allied Health at Alfred Health in contributing to Alfred Health’s purpose.

**About the Role**
Alfred Health is seeking an experienced Allied Health Leader to join our Victorian Adult Burns Service, the state-wide provider of burns care for all adults with complex major burn injuries in Victoria, as well as many people with less severe burns.
The Allied Health team Leaderwill provide leadership within the Burns Unit by:

- Leading a high-performing Allied Health team by providing coordination of patient care, staff support, quality improvement and research leadership and facilitating skill development of Allied Health staff and students.
- Designing, developing and implementing a contemporary model of care, based on best practices and efficient transition between inpatients and community-based care.
- Fostering excellence in clinical service provision and championing a strong culture of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

This dynamic role requires clinicians who have great communication, collaborative and care planning skills, with demonstrated leadership experience and who are interested in working and evaluating a new and evolving program for Alfred Health.

**Duties**
- Coordinate the Allied Health management of patient care within inpatient and outpatient burns settings for burns patient cohort.
- Identify current model of care within Allied Health and communicate this with key stakeholders and new staff.
- Coordinate the processes involved in the induction and orientation of Allied Health staff to the VABS.
- Work closely with the Burns Registry to represent Allied Health in the development of quality indicators and new processes.
- Coordinate education and professional development opportunities for Allied Health including attendance at existing forums and identification of interdisciplinary education and training gaps.

**Skills & Experience**
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant Allied Health discipline.
- Relevant post-graduate qualification of Master's or Doctorate.
- Eligibility for registration or membership of the relevant professional body.
- At least 10 years postgraduate experience with substantial experience in Burns management.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of research and quality improvement.
- Capacity to incorporate best practices into Allied Health services.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level teaching, training and supervision to staff and students.
- Demonstrated capacity to motivate staff and to contribute to a positive organisational culture.
