Abel Tasman Village is a non-for-profit, 72-bed residential Aged Care facility, that was established in 1994 and since then has built a reputation of delivering outstanding care to our ageing population. Our name is well known, and respected in the community and that of the surrounding areas and we find ourselves as one of the preferred residential Aged Care facilities in South Western Sydney.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated and reliable **General Service Officer** to join our dedicated team, contributing to the comfort and care of our residents. In this role, you will support a range of services, ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency throughout the facility.

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include assisting with general cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility, including resident rooms and common areas.
- Washing, drying, and folding all linen and clothing for residents, as well as dining room and kitchen linen.
- Ironing clothing and linen as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards.
- Assist with waste management and ensure proper disposal practices.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Safety procedures at all times.
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to your supervisor.

**Qualification and Skills**
- Previous experience in Aged Care or a similar cleaning role (preferred but not essential).

- Effective written and verbal communication
- A caring and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to work with older people.
- Ensure a safe environment for our residents and staff
- An ability to work within a diverse environment and inclusive environment
- The ability to be available across 7 days per week or as required
- Police check or willingness to obtain
- Right to work in Australia (without limitations preferred)
- Flu and COVID vaccination
