**About the role**
This position is responsible for ensuring the LGA is kept clean and presentable, on a day-to-day basis you will be expected to maintain & operate a Mechanical Road Sweeper ensuring all scheduled work programs are completed and ensuring community expectations are met across the LGA. On a daily basis you will:

- Operate a mechanical sweeping machine to sweep gutters and roads leaving all streets and carparks in a clean, tidy, healthy and serviceable condition throughout the Council area consistent with OH&S, RTA regulations and manufacturers specifications
- Operate suction equipment to clear drainage systems including blocked drains, gross pollution traps, and pipelines
- Maintain sweeper in a clean and serviceable condition by carrying out necessary maintenance and minor repairs and arrange for services and major repairs through the Workshop Supervisor
- Undertake other team tasks as directed to provide effective support to the team.

**About You**
- Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible team comprising staff of diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels
- Experience maintaining safe practices including for premises and personnel through identifying, managing risks and hazards promptly
- Sound capacity to adapt to changing priorities
- The physical ability to undertake manual tasks such as lifting, shovelling, emptying bins, hand sweeping, picking up rubbish etc.

**What’s on offer?**
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from **$65,935.72 to $72,586.50** (Includes salary + super).

A 20% Loading applies due to commencement prior to 6am, (Award Condition), plus Super. Core working days consist of Wednesday through to Sunday 3am till 11:30am, this position also attracts 50% loading for Saturday & 100% loading applies for Sundays.
