**Who we are**

Independent Living Disability Services provides a range of supports and services to people with disabilities.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Disability Support Worker. Female support worker Every 2nd Sunday 7pm - 1am. Located in Cherrbrook. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people with disabilities achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life. Previous experience supporting people with **complex support needs (including non-verbal autism spectrum disorder) is a mandatory requirement for this position. Need to have drivers licence. Need to have good clear english as per clients request.**

**What you'll be doing**

You will have experience working with people with disability and enjoy community participation and being active. You must be able to communicate effectively and follow and implement individual service plans, personal care, healthcare, and positive behaviour support plans to our clients in their homes.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Australian resident
- Workers Screening Check, Working with Childrens and First Aid + CPR
- Certificate in Disability or Individual Support
- At least two years experience working in a similar role
- Have a vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
- Australian Licence
- Must have experience with complex behaviours to provide a client-centric support capability.
- Experience working with clients with autism or intellectual disabilitity is a must

The ideal person will be friendly, fun, have lots of energy and engaging to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist our client with a range of disability-related support needs within the home and out in the community.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 38 per week
