**Support Worker - Health Care Team**
**About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced person, passionate about
- working with Inala participants and committed to their health and wellbeing, who is ready to join
- our dedicated and friendly team. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Consultant, this is a full-time role
- based at Cherrybrook in Sydney’s northwest, with working hours Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00.
- You will be part of a Health Care Team, who just like you, are passionate and committed to deliver
- the best possible care to our clients, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort.

In your role you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and managing the health and medical care for Inala participants in consultation
- with clients, staff, families and Health Care Professionals.- Facilitating appropriate health specific staff training in full consultation with Clinical Nurse
- Consultant- Prioritising, scheduling and performing all prescribed medical interventions required across
the accommodation services within your scope of practice. These include but are not limited
to medication management, catheter care and troubleshooting, enteral feeding care and
troubleshooting, wound care and basic first aid support.
- Monitoring of client health and medical needs and raising concerns to Clinical Nurse
Consultant when needed.
- Personal practice that reflects both the Clinical Governance Framework and best practice
guidelines
**Essential Criteria**:
- Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent)- Current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Minimum 1 year experience in disability or related field
- Proven knowledge and experience in medication administration or management
- A ‘Can Do’ Attitude with a Customer Service Focus
- Good written communication skills including experience in preparing documentation related
- to care needs and care delivery, including care planning.- Extensive working knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of
- Conduct- Demonstrated strong clinical and interpersonal skills

- Read and understand the Inala Vision, Core Values and Principles of the Inala Ethos and have
a preparedness to work within the Ethos of Inala
- Hold and continue to hold NDIS Worker Clearance and an entitlement to work in Australia
- In accordance with prevailing Public Health Orders pertaining to the Disability Sector,
provide certification of having received 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
