Specialist Homelessness Services of Uniting provide outreach and crisis support and case management to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those with tenancy issues and escaping domestic violence. The services support people with the aim of breaking the cycle of homelessness through person centered support and coordination, referral, advocacy and development.

**Role Overview**:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist with intake and assessment where relevant to the role
- Develop and monitor support plans/individual case plans, based on Services Practice Guidelines
- Provide individual assistance for clients (vulnerable women) in line with support plans and identified goals
- Also involved are - some light cleaning, making beds, going up and down the stairs, carrying /moving material donations

**About you in the role**:

- Certificate IV (minimum) in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work or other relevant field
- Experience working with vulnerable people, relevant to the service (women and children - domestic and family violence survivors)
- Knowledge of best-practice for Specialist Homelessness funded Services
- Ability to think on feet and support women work through complex issues
- **_The role is designated for a female under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act_**:

- Current Driver's Licence - able to drive a People mover - van
