About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our People & Culture Team based in our National Support Office in Melbourne.

Led by the People Advisory Manager, this newly created role of People Advisory Team Leader will lead, coach and develop a team of People Advisors who provide advice, support and solutions to our Bunnings leaders and team on all people related matters across Australia and New Zealand. An individual who enjoys a fast paced and evolving environment will complement the existing team.

What's involved:

- Lead, coach and develop People Advisors
- Review calls and advice and providing coaching and training to maintain consistency
- Optimise processes to enable the team to adopt efficiencies throughout operations
- Utilise data to drive continuous improvement across policy, process and change initiatives
- Support end to end employee relations management including, grievances, investigations and the resolution of complex injury management matters
- Provide advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements
- Negotiate outcomes that mitigate risks for the business and identify any employee relations trends

Who we’re looking for

You will bring strong demonstrated experience in a HR Advisory, Business Partner or Employee Relations role, coupled with demonstrated experience or exposure in a leadership position. You’ll have strong knowledge across end to end employee relations matters and be confident providing advice to the business to mitigate risks.

You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships with your stakeholders enabling you act as a trusted partner and influence decisions where required.

You’ll need:

- Tertiary qualification in Law, HR, business, Commerce, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience working in a HR role with focus on employee relations ideally within a multi-site organisation
- Leadership experience or exposure
- Understanding of and ability to interpret relevant Industrial Instruments (i.e. EA/Awards)
- Sound knowledge of employee relations legislation
- Experience before the Fair Work Commission and conciliations
- A track record of taking initiative and achieving pragmatic outcomes
