This role was created to help lead and coordinate operational teams based at the Cleary's Gates Depot including Road Maintenance, Road Construction, Road Planning, Stormwater Operations and Fabrication as well as undertaking specific duties and responsibilities associated with operational support in response to extreme weather and/or emergency events.

This role is offered as a Full-Time Position or a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - with the Fixed Term Contract there will be an increase 13% salary loading and 12.50% superannuation. Please note that for this role there will also be a relocation package offered as well pending on location.

**The roles and responsibilities for this role include the following**:

- Lead and coordinate the effective, efficient and sustainable management of the human, physical, financial and information resources
- Develop, mentor and empower staff to build leadership capacity and a highperformance culture.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators for each team ensuring the teams are well briefed on delivery expectations.
- Undertake regular performance reviews for direct reports, as well as overseeing and regularly reviewing each team's performance.
- Review and improve Safety Management Systems
- Manage construction and operational employees implementing complex projects
- Supervision of suppliers and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Coordinate operational support available from all operational Units at the Clearys Gates Depot
- Research, compile and present information in formal reports, including technical and other advice on operations
- Be confident to challenge processes and drive new thinking to create an environment where innovation and continuous improvement is embraced

**Qualifcations, Licenses & Certificates Required for this role**:

- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Current Drivers Licence.

**Knowledge and experience**:

- Significant relevant experience in civil construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices, including WH&S legislation and safety systems, culture and regulations.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles with a high level of experience in planning and delivery of complex projects and budget management
- Experienced leader and supervisor who strongly supports a collaborative, innovative, agile culture, able to motivate, empower and challenge others through change to work as part of dynamic teams to deliver quality outcomes.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills particularly verbal and written communication,
- Problem solving skills to engage, negotiate and resolve issues and conflicts
- Well-developed management skills to facilitate the development and implementation of work programs.
