We have an exciting short-term opportunity for **Library Officer** to be a key member of the Library Service team and play a crucial role in improving educational outcomes for students and supporting teaching excellence.
In this role you will be primary responsible for collaborating with liaison librarians and educators to ensure that the necessary resources are available to support curriculum delivery. By following established processes, you will ensure that required readings and information resources are accessible to meet core teaching requirements. You will be responsible for updating records in the Readings system, Leganto, and the library system, Alma.
Additionally, you may serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries across various service channels, conduct library orientations for students, and facilitate access to information resources through rostered desk duties. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a range of professional tasks, such as updating records in the library system, in collaboration with the Scholarly Resources team.
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Direct knowledge or experience with VE, Higher Education and college administrative processes and legislative requirements.
- An understanding of the role of information resources to teaching and learning in an academic environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with systems, creating and editing data records, and other technologies such as scanning.
- A basic understanding of copyright as it applies to the Australian educational environment.
**Qualifications**
Completion of a diploma level qualification together with relevant experience in a library or similar environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
