**The Opportunity**:
Our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages (FACD) practice in Australia continues to see success and have rapidly expanded at the start of 2025. As a result, we are seeking an Associate Director with experience in forensic accounting to join our team.
This is an opportunity to work on disputes, forensic accounting, investigations and valuations projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region in a variety of industries.
In this role, you will execute the following responsibilities in accordance with HKA standards:
- Assisting experts in formulating inputs into opinions in their respective areas.
- Deliver and produce draft technical expert reports with appropriate guidance.
- Researching and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Conducting financial analysis and investigations.
- Developing financial models from transactional and financial data.
- Using relevant software tools for research and analysing data.
- Communicating results and work product as appropriate, internally and externally to clients.
- Actively contribute to business development initiatives such as bid and proposal development and being a brand ambassador through different channels (e.g. social media, client events).
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients.
**Skills and Experience**:
This is what we are looking for:
- You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in forensic accounting and disputes, valuation or related industries in Australia and/or overseas. You will be a Qualified Accountant or have similar qualifications.
- You are a strategic thinker who is comfortable working through ambiguity and loves an intellectual challenge.
- You have strong problem-solving skills, and an attention to detail.
- You enjoy preparing loss of profit models in relation to disputes and damages calculations, and are comfortable working with data sets, such as general ledgers, bank statements and other structured data.
- You have exceptional written and communication skills, and are drafting sections of reports and letters.
- You are confident at juggling and managing multiple matters, while overseeing and coaching more junior staff.
- You are building a network of contacts, and are beginning to drive strategic business development activities.
- You enjoy a collaborative team environment, where we all contribute our ideas.
- You have integrity and want to be part of a highly supportive team with strong family values.
- You have a strong focus on self-management and self-development, actively seeking learning opportunities.
