**Group Clinical Governance, Safety and Quality Lead**
**The Role**
As the Clinical Governance, Safety and Quality Lead, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery and oversight of group clinical governance and quality management activities across Medibank Group in line with Medibank’s Clinical Governance framework. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
**Your impact**
We’re looking for someone dynamic who will play a key clinical role in supporting business units across Medibank to recognise and deliver clinical safety and quality care. You’ll be responsible for overseeing clinical due diligence, development and implementation of clinical governance processes across the business, conducting merger and acquisition visits, vendor meetings for specified sites including preparation and delivery of required clinical reports.
You will impact in this role by:
- Providing clinical support and required stakeholder engagement for integration of new acquisitions and investments in primary care and hospitals
- Ensuring the smooth running of clinical governance on a daily basis across the group
- Assisting the Senior Executive Medical and Clinical Directors to ensure the effective implementation of the Medibank Clinical Governance Framework across the group.
- Developing and critically analysing trend clinical governance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Providing expert advice to support the development of clinical indicators, benchmarks and profiles for providers and help ensure measurement and monitoring approaches are appropriate and impactful.
- Working with Hospital Contract Managers to review any clinical service complaints or concerns raised about providers.
**About you**
You’re an experienced manger with at least 5 years’ experience in a health setting. You’ll be degree qualified within health and will ideally have prior experience working within a private hospital or private health insurance setting.
**Must have skills**
- Experience in clinical service review, critical incident and risk management and development of remedial action plans
- Demonstrated experience in project management, having the ability to lead and manage projects from concept through to implementation
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience building engagement and buy-in with stakeholder groups, including healthcare providers and senior management
- Excellent writing skills, including preparation of reports
