This newly created role will sit within the Optimisation team and will contribute to meaningful change by supporting the delivery of 24/7 safe, reliable and efficient operations of the network, along with a superior experience for our customers.

About the role
- As the Governance and Performance Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring Transurban’s performance reaches optimal levels in safety, productivity, and efficiency.

This is a unique opportunity to support the decision makers and relevant stakeholders that influence customers on-road experience Your leadership will be crucial in optimising long-term operations, maintenance approaches, and costs while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining asset integrity.

You’ll join an innovative new team that drives efficiencies across the business, including facilitating efficient governance decisions impacting on-road experience and standardising the quantification of benefits.

In this role, you will effectively develop and champion the governance framework, manage decision making forums and relevant input of stakeholders influencing broader business decisions related to customer experiences. Success will depend on your ability to build strong internal relationships, manage priorities, and drive impactful initiatives.

Day-to-day, you will:
Design and support governance practices for on-road customer experience decisions-
- Establish and manage the cross-functional decision-making body, setting agendas and coordinating meeting materials-
- Oversee communication flows of CORE decisions to internal stakeholders and prepare reports for senior stakeholders-
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation to facilitate key initiatives-
- Proactively mitigate risks and ensure compliance with Transurban policies and standards-
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to enhance optimisation governance and provide strategic advice-
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support key initiatives- This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Experience in developing, implementing, and improving effective governance frameworks in complex stakeholder environments-
- Advanced analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal form to senior stakeholders-
- Ability to build credibility and trust with stakeholders at all organisational levels-
- Proven ability to independently deliver projects or streams of work, planning and executing them effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments-
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with strengths in consultation, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution to address organisational opportunities-
- Experience in implementing and/or improving benefit realisation measurement and reporting approaches (desired)-
