We are seeking an individual with a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn to join our Analytical Laboratory team as a Laboratory Assistant.
- 12 months fixed term part-time opportunity (days negotiable)
- Provides Support to the Analytical Laboratory and Analytical Team

**What you’ll do**

As a Laboratory Assistant you will perform clerical duties in support of the laboratory. Other key responsibilities would include but not limited to:

- Assist in general housekeeping activities including but not limited to laboratory cleaning, solvent waste and other waste removal (as required).
- Ensure hardcopy-controlled documents are filed and return outdated versions for document control.
- Ensure the adequate supply of clean laboratory glassware in accordance with Standard Work Practices at all times.
- Perform limited analytical testing as required including but not limited to calibrations, basic analytical testing and solution and reagent preparation.
- Act in accordance with cGMP, GLP, GDP and DI practices

**Essential for the role**
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of compliance management and Good Laboratory Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environment
- Computer literacy
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Competent in the use of relevant office equipment & systems

**Desirables for the role**
- Enrolled in tertiary qualification in science or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills
