Position description

Role overview
- We're looking for a collaborative team player with a strong background in cytogenetics and a proven ability to analyse chromosomes with meticulous attention to detail.
- You'll work with advanced laboratory equipment and software to analyse constitutional chromosomal abnormalities.
- The position requires expertise in cytogenetics wet-lab techniques and an ability to perform complex, high-resolution analyses and reporting.
Ideal candidate
Essential qualifications and experience:
A recognised tertiary degree in a relevant scientific field
At least two years of experience in human chromosome analysis in a clinical laboratory setting
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated approach to work
- Must have the right to work in Australia
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and eagerness for continuous professional development
- Postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous
