**The role**

We are looking for someone with a safety systems & process mindset to take on the role of National Workplace Health and Safety Manager. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining safety throughout Mulgowie Farming Company sites by leading the development, management and audit of the companys Health and Safety systems in collaboration with operations and support services teams to meet compliance requirements.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work closely with the Operations team to review and update existing WHS training documents with a focus on the operational workforce including fixed & mobile plant and equipment
- Creating and delivering new WHS training in partnership with SMEs.
- Manage the WHS Internal Audit Schedule ensuring successful internal and external audits
- Collaborate with business units to ensure the successful WHS business planning and implementation of safety strategies, plans, policies and training
- Provide coaching, support and advice to Leaders to drive a proactive safety-first culture

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience in improving and developing robust safety processes and systems including coordinating and rolling out a range of WHS training and development programs to transform an organisations safety culture
- Experience providing written and verbal reports up to board level standard on key safety metrics such as LTIFR
- Thorough working knowledge of AS4801, Chain of Responsibility and other state legislative requirements
- Proven leadership skills in safety whilst being a confident, articulate, and engaging professional working with geographically dispersed operating sites and networked teams
- Minimum 5-7 years experience hands-on WHS experience demonstrating building and improving site based operations safety systems, processes, and controls.
- Skilled use of Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong planning and analytical skills
- Experience in the FMCG sector desirable - agribusiness, manufacturing/production industries preferred

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Safety Health and Environment or equivalent
- Formal Trainer Qualification / Certification
- Current formal Internal Audit training - desirable
