Working with customers in mining operations for over 80 years, Mineral Technologies, a subsidiary of Downer, delivers innovative, cost-effective process solutions for Iron Ore, Mineral Sands, Silica Sands, Coal, Chromite, Gold, Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum and a wide range of other fine minerals worldwide. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our multi-discipline engineering team based in our Perth office.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role will report to the Engineering Delivery Manager and Support successful delivery through cost control of engineering projects up to $5M.
- Manage the development of accurate and timely cost reports that contain movements and progress and resolution of issues that may cause delay and or further cost.
- Attend project meeting with Project and/or Engineering Managers and ensure consistent utilisation of Project control tools, systems and upskilling of project engineers.
- Provide direct support and functional guidance to the Project delivery teams to achieve business and Project goals and objectives.
- Maintain effective relationships to assist the project manager manage client expectations.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Bachelor’s degree coupled with several years’ experience with working knowledge of Earned Value Management
- Experience in project controls for engineering projects and studies is desirable.
- Project Management experience advantageous.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Primavera and/or MS Project is advantageous.
- Fundamental understanding of Cost Management & Control to effectively manage the cost of a project
- Intermediate/Advanced Level Excel Skills Proficient in the use of MS Word, Outlook, Internet
