About the Role
- Provide hands on systems support the Finance Business Partner team

AGL has completed the implementation of SAP S/4HANA across its business and the Finance Systems & Transformation team provides support and optimisation of this system and other ancillary systems, as well as playing a key role in the governance and financial control processes of AGL. A full time permanent opportunity has become available to join this impactful team

Internally referred to as the Analyst, you will assist in the delivery of finance systems services, in addition to driving new joiner onboarding for systems and tools, and providing second line support for user queries and advice, whilst providing an outstanding stakeholder experience.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Analyst, you will:

- Safeguard the ongoing integrity of Finance systems by upholding the data governance principles and master data standards of AGL which includes reviewing change requests for compliance, education of stakeholders as required, and ensuring process excellence in everything we do
- Enable accurate and timely financial processes by opening and closing periods across ledgers and modules and data replication and actualisation for budgeting and forecasting
- Understand the Finance risk and control matrix, and periodically review the effectiveness of the system and process controls
- Develop a detailed understanding of the systems processes to support user queries and provide new user support

About You

You are a Finance professional who is looking for the next step in their career and seeking to bring your accounting-based experience to a finance systems orientated role. You have a keen eye for detail, with a passion for problem solving and customer centric approach.

What you’ll be doing:

- Base level experience and working knowledge of Finance principles
- Passion for, and interest in learning Finance Systems
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to learn systems quickly and identify interconnection from both a data and process perspective
- Proven capability in time management and a collaborative work style
- Recent experience in an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Systems Accountant role would be beneficial
- Experience with S/4HANA or SAP would be highly regarded
