**Public Sector People (PSP) **are currently looking to speak to a
**Systems Analyst** join a Local Government on a contract, with potential for permanent work.

This role requires a highly skilled and technically knowledgeable individual who will need to produce proof of concept designs and solutions that can be further developed into an end product or solution.

Working within a highly dynamic team working directly with the business improvement analyst to ensure a smooth transition.

**Key Criteria**:

- Develop, review, and promote policy, procedure, standards and guidelines that are compliant with relevant legislation and requirements for Information & Technology
- Provide strategic and operational advice to the Information Technology Manager and IT Coordinators.
- Comprehensive in research, judgment, and analytical skills
- Contribute to improvements to the business processes and information systems by analysing business problems and opportunities.
- Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements/building business cases and problems and identifies options for consideration.
- Work to improve organisation systems/ processes to manage corporate business improvement.
- Stakeholder management, working closely with wider team to reach a common goal efficiently.

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:

- Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology discipline or relevant experience.
- SQL server experience.
- Basic programming capabilities.
- Tertiary qualifications for Project Management or relevant experience.
- Experience in process reengineering and improvement.
- Competent in using modelling tools including Microsoft Applications.
- Experience in working with various levels of Management.
- Membership of AIPM (Desirable).
- If successful, will be required to have an up-to-date National Police Check.
