About Us
Absolute Medical Response (AMR) was founded in 1991 (as Paramedical Services) with the vision of providing quality medical care and customer service to the community and corporate clients with an improved standard of education in pre-hospital care, on
- site medical response, sporting events & industrial medical support, Work Injury Response Service (WIRS) and Non-Emergency Patient Transport.
AMR employs highly trained and certified EMT's, registered paramedics, plus intensive care paramedics and other medical professionals. All EMT’s hold (as a minimum) the Certificate IV in Healthcare (Ambulance), Paramedics must hold a Diploma in Paramedical Science or the Bachelor of Health Science (Pre-Hospital) or its equivalent & be registered with AHPRA. With a fleet of specially equipped ambulances and state-of-the-art communications, AMR responds to calls in NSW and South Australia at this point in time with expectations of growth over the coming period.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a rostering professional who has a solid grasp of best-practice workforce rostering in the Health Care or related comparable industries. You will support the effective utilisation of our workforce through timely and effective rostering practices that deliver against operational plans and benchmarks. You will have a knack of seeing the bigger picture and propose innovative solutions to achieve improvements in workforce related matters.
The Rostering Coordinator is responsible for advising on the overall deployment of staff resources across the group to ensure that resourcing meets client demand for service delivery and maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the AMR operation. The Rostering Coordinator will support effective management decision-making through the design and production of accurate and timely performance reports that demonstrate and support effective staff rostering.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Support the effective utilisation of AMR’s workforce through timely and effective rostering practices
- Ensure that our crews operate within their workforce plans and benchmarks
- Creation, editing and maintenance of staff rosters to ensure that the crews work efficiently and at the levels required to provide quality care to the patients
- Contribute to the development of innovative rostering processes
- Administer all staff rosters that enable an effective balance to be achieved between optimising staffing efficiency and maximising staff satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to ensure rosters reflect resource needs to meet service delivery demands
- Ensure the roster is completed and available to staff in a timely manner that meets industrial requirements
- Ensure the roster is completed and forward to clients (e.g. HealthShare NSW) in accordance with contracts and clients needs
- Reporting to and in conjunction with the Operations Manager effectively coordinate both planned and unplanned leave with available resources
- Identify, and with the support of the Operations Manager, actively manage any foreseeable capacity gaps to ensure service delivery is optimised
- Undertake administrative activities related to managing the roster, including but not limited to inputting and updating staff details and attendance preferences.

- Audit actual staff attendance against the planned roster and alert the Operations Manager of discrepancies
