**THE ROLE**

As the Café Supervisor you are responsible for ensuring the successful day to day running of Whitelion’s social enterprise café, If It Wasn’t For This Coffee.

This includes general café management duties as well as managing catering and online coffee orders. The café is key to the successful implementation of Whitelion’s Hospitality Employment Program, and therefore the role also oversees work experience placements for our young people.

You will provide strong leadership, support, motivation and development of all café team members ensuring a positive work environment that encourages ownership and accountability and providing a quality customer experience, exceptional service and excellent food quality.

**ABOUT YOU**

Provide exceptional customer service to the community and café customers.
- Support and train café staff in the provision of services to customers and the operations of the café
- Supervision and leadership of café staff including preparation of rosters and approving timesheets.
- Undertake café budgeting and preparation of all required accounts in collaboration with national accounts

team.
- Coordinate all catering service requirements, ensuring orders are met on time and in budget.
- Provide orientation, on the job training, support and management of young people undertaking work

experience in the café.
- Participate in planned stakeholder engagement and networking activities with local community

organisations and relevant training providers.
- Contribute and develop content for the café social media pages and maintain sites online ensuring they are current.
- Ensure the café cleaning and hygiene processes are undertaken in line with relevant policies, procedures

and industry standards.
- Ensure Food Safety regulations and safe food handling requirements maintained, and all café policies and

procedures are up to date (including relevant staff certificates).
- Adhere to all Whitelion health and safety policies, procedures and training requirements.

**Experience**

Previous experience managing food and beverage staff in a café environment.
- High quality customer service skills with the ability to train and support food and beverage staff.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage the day to day running of a successful café.
- Good understanding and experience of café financial management processes
- Good social media and communication skills with the ability to write and edit engaging content.

**Qualifications**
- Current Working with Children card and Criminal History Check (willingness to complete a police check, and every 3 years after employment)
- Café management qualifications preferred.
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
